This is an extremely rare, large, Oregon Big Leaf Maple Burl with astonishing translucency and detail.
The Live Edge is a fascinating sculptural detail as amazing as the top. It is particularly suited for a glass top, as a desk, or a dramatic entry table.
Many hours of meticulous skilled hand work will pick out bark inclusions and soften edges without losing the sculptural detail seen in the third image. The surface is virtually defect-free.
