This photo shows the lovely proportioned rough sawn Slab GH163-6. Like other Walnut options, even in this rough state the astonishing patterning that is distributed over the entire surface of this rare slab is apparent. Surface staining from the kiln drying process will disappear during finishing, yielding a highly figured flawless surface.
When fully finished it will be absolutely amazing, a stunning reclaimed slab, the showpiece in any space.
We can treat the slab in a number of different ways depending on your preference. Optionally, we will fill all cracks with water clear epoxy producing an uninterrupted, defect free smooth surface. Alternately, a natural finish provides a more rustic or farmhouse look. As well, softened outer edges provide a less irregular shape. Inlaid Solid Bronze Butterfly are a wonderful decorative accent, but certainly not required.
