Another rare find, this Book Matched Black Walnut would be ideal for those looking for a more elliptical or boat-shaped Slab top. Unfortunately this photograph of the raw board does not do the pair justice, the grain is subtle and mimics the outer curve, it has a warm, rich color, and the hint of center sapwood adds visual interest.
