Spacewhip Bench
The Allentown Art Museum commissioned the Spaceship Bench. They selected it from many submissions at the 2005 Philadelphia Furniture Show.
The loose conceptual drawing was a long and exacting process.
The back and legs of the Spacewhip Bench are made with about one thousand very thin long sticks that were bundled, wrapped with string, and saturated with polyester resin.
This design won Jeffrey Greene the 2007 NICHE Award.
