Live Edge Slab WV1152-45 is another extraordinarily huge Book Matched Black Walnut with the possibility of a 60″ width. As the image is a simulation of the largest size possible, it can easily be sized as needed.
The fabulous feather patterns are from “crotch” areas where a branch is knitted to the trunk. Any natural inclusions, such as seen in the center, are typically secured with butterfly inlays and resin for a defect-free surface. The bark inclusions on the left end are fabulous when filled with near-clear resin as it allows the inner organic features to remain visible. This slab can accommodate 16 to 18 if needed at larger gatherings, ideal for a show-stopping Conference Table.
This slab requires three standard bases to offer maximum stability. If you select a larger pedestal design, however, the size can be customized for visual balance
