We plan to add more stunning Single Claro Walnut Slabs to our offerings, beginning with Live Edge Slab GH73-1A. As Claro Walnut grows more quickly than Black Walnut it can have more dramatic grain patterning. The slight reddish undertones add a particular brilliance to the finished surface.
The inclusions on the center right will be secured with inlays on the bottom. We recommend butterfly inlays on the surface in addition to a clear epoxy fill, resulting in a defect-free smooth surface with minimal concern for further movement. Surface inlays can be in virtually any wood species in addition to metals such as brass and aluminum.
The soft curve to the slab is subtle enough to add visual movement while remaining entirely practical for guests when seated.
This Slab can accommodate 12 very comfortably. Almost any base design we offer would be lovely paired with it. We are happy to help you select the perfect Base, contact us for assistance.
