Live Edge Slab B8376M05 has a significant number of the most requested characteristics we are frequently asked to provide. Notably, it is amazingly rectilinear for a Book Match, with interesting feather grain patterns on the left end. It has a soft hourglass shape, visible sapwood along all edges, not to mention the lovely “crotch” feature in the areas where a large branch sprang from the trunk. Surface inlays are likely not needed as it is incredibly defect free. The symmetry of this book matched slab is amazing.
Although pictured completely raw and unfinished, the surface is sprayed with denatured alcohol to show off the warm, rich, deep color of Black Walnut.
The size is ideal to seat 8 comfortably. Virtually any Base will work wonderfully as the width allows for sensational legroom no matter the design.
