Of all the Mappa Burl Slabs I was fortunate enough to procure, this is by far the most rare and stunning.
Although the Slab is yet unfinished there is a light application to bring out the figuring, curl, and translucency. No trimming has been done to show the full size as the slab currently is in the workshop. The outstanding burl along virtually every bit of the Live Edge perimeter is some of the most astonishing I have ever seen.

It is extraordinarily rare to find a burl slab that is as practically shaped as this as it has a fairly consistent overall 44″ width. Even with the highly organic Live Edges there is no issue for guests when seated at the table. The nubby edges will be finished “user friendly” and safe, no sharp points or edges.
Alternately, it would be sensational as a Live Edge Headboard as virtually all features an be left completely natural, just wonderfully finished. A glass top is also an option to maintain its beauty while allowing for a 10′ x 48″ Glass Top.
