For our Ebonized Slab Dining Table Series we use a new finish product that is by far the best yet found, not only for its appearance, composition, and durability, but also for the myriad color options that are offered. The main image features a Live Edge Book Matched Ebonized Ash Slab paired with a Double Folded Trapezoid Base. Ash is particularly wonderful for color treatments as the grain is textural and remains visible even with a pure opaque black finish. You may certainly select from virtually any species as options such as Maple have a smooth, sleek appearance when darkened. Alternately, we advise against using Black Walnut as most of the figuring will be obscured, and as it can be more expensive a lighter shade is best. We are more than happy to provide guidance and suggestions in the selection of the perfect slab.
