We are delighted to add more stunning Single Claro Walnut Slabs to our offerings, such as Live Edge Slab B7466A05. As Claro Walnut grows more quickly than Black Walnut it can have more dramatic grain patterning. The slight reddish undertones add a particular brilliance to the finished surface.
We show this Slab at is full length, including the huge branches that split from the main trunk. Typically we make straight parallel cuts to each end. In this case, we imagine filling the void on the right with a tinted Epoxy Resin for an uninterrupted, solid surface. While the shape is unusual, there is no hinderance to any guests once seated and there are clear sight lines. This Claro Walnut is for fans of the truly organic, rare, huge Single Slabs that present a dramatic visual.
The visible sapwood along both Live Edges draws the eye along the length and accentuates the fabulous features.
The soft curve to the slab is subtle enough to add visual movement while remaining entirely practical for guests when seated.
This Slab can accommodate 8 to 10 guests and would be a sensational Conference Table.
